How to Get Token Lists and Balances on EOSIO

Mar 2, 2020 12:27:26 PM / by dfuse

The dfuse API is constantly evolving, with new features being added to help developers build faster for the blockchain. Today, we're super excited to unveil our new Token API for EOSIO.

With this new enterprise-only feature, you can now easily query a list of all tokens on the EOSIO blockchain, query a list of all tokens + their balance for a specific account, and query a list of all account holders + their balance for a specific token. If you're as excited as we are about this release, you can jump right into our docs. If you'd rather like to see some examples, keep on reading.

TL;DR Release Notes

Added 3 token-related EOS GraphQL endpoints:

  • tokens - Get a list of contract tokens (sorted by number of token holders)
  • accountBalances - Get a list of balances for a specific token contract & symbol
  • tokenBalances - Get a list of token balances for a specific account

3 New Endpoints to Query With Our Token API

Tokens

Get a list of all contract tokens on the EOSIO blockchain with our tokens endpoint. The result will be sorted by the number of token holders. We have a pre-built and customizable GraphQL query ready for you; test the tokens endpoint from your browser.

For more information about the expected parameters for this specific endpoint, read the tokens documentation.

Account Balance

Get a list of all tokens + balances for a specific account on the EOSIO blockchain with our accountBalances endpoint. We have a pre-built and customizable GraphQL query ready for you; test the accountBalances endpoint from your browser.

For more information about the expected parameters for this specific endpoint, read the accountBalances documentation.

Token Balances

Get a list of all account holders + their balances for a specific token on the EOSIO blockchain with our tokenBalances endpoint. We have a pre-built and customizable GraphQL query ready for you; test the tokenBalances endpoint from your browser.

For more information about the expected parameters for this specific endpoint, read the tokenBalances documentation.

Token API for Ethereum

While it is not yet available for Ethereum, the team will be working on implementing similar functions for Ethereum developers.
